Patience is truly a virtue. So many times we think that ” waiting” on God means sitting around reproductively, but this isn’t the case. I love how the Galatians 5: 23 AMP breaks it down:
But the fruit of the Spirit [the result of His presence within us] is love [unselfish concern for others], joy, [inner] peace, patience [not the ability to wait, but how we act while waiting], kindness, goodness, faithfulness, …
That just ministered to me. Being patient with God is not just waiting and doing nothing with your gifts and talents etc, but patience is going before God and asking Him what does He want you to do now, while you are waiting for Him to your next summit (whether it be in your gifts, ministries, financially, etc).
How we act in “the process” is absolutely crucial. When I say the process, I mean how we act through our trials, tribulations, and triumphs….often times determines if we are ready to move to the next level. God can not elevate anyone who isn’t grounded in Him, mature in Him, and full of His love and spirit. Promotion without maturity can be detrimental to you and the others around you.
Your job is to stay before the Lord, seek His face to find out what He is calling you to in this point and time. Be active in whatever God has you to do right now, stay focused and He is surely direct you further, as you wait.
31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.Isaiah 40:31
